Canon CR-2 Plus Retinal Camera
The CR-2 Plus is equipped with a unique 18.0 Megapixel digital EOS camera that was developed by Canon for its retinal cameras, for best possible ophthalmic imaging.
This machine takes an extremely detailed photography of the back of your eye. It is different than the OCT because instead of taking pictures of layers of the retina it simply takes a picture of the back of your eye.
This camera is very useful for the early detection of Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD). Recent studies indicate that this camera's imaging can also aid the diagnosis of a variety of other diseases and even detection of intraocular tumors.
